Description

This book organises hundreds of sayings attributed to Jesus, Buddha, Krishna and Lao Tzu into topics such as, "The Great Way" and God, Tao and Universal Mind" and assembles the sayings into four parallel columns for easy reference. Edited from over fifty ancient Christian, Buddhist, Hindu and Taoist texts, this book demonstrates the common thread that runs through all mystical traditions. The author/editor prefaces each topic with an introduction that is insightful and sends a powerful message that will be welcomed by all who seek the truth within and within their own spiritual tradition. Sections include: - The Great Way - God, Tao and Universal Mind - The Self - Suffering - Karma and Reincarnation - "A priceless treasury of interfaith understanding." -Brother David Steindll-Rast This publication "...is truly a timely event, bound to nourish those who are soul-weary of combativeness in the name of religion." -Carol Lee Flinders, author of Laurel's Kitchen and Enduring Grace. "Richard Hooper shatters any preconceived notions that there is only 'one way' to enlightenment. Instead he blazes a path of collective understanding beyond dogma toward finding the divinity within ourselves" -Judy Martin, NPR journalist and founder of WorkLifeMonitor.com "Richard Hooper sends a powerful message that will be welcomed by all who seek the truth within, and within their own tradition." -Jeff Cox, Snow Lion Publications
