Award-winning author Julia Jarman was born in the city of Peterborough, and now lives in Riseley, Bedfordshire. She studied English and Drama at Manchester University and then qualified as a teacher. Lynne Chapman has been an illustrator for nearly 30 years and has more than 30 published books, some of which she has also written.
