The more she listens to others' stories the more she realizes that her story is different. As she sits in her home watching the water rise she asks herself the question over and over, why did she stay? In trying to find the answer it dawns on her that she was not supposed to move to New Orleans until 2006. She examines how she ends up in New Orleans during this horrific storm. In the end, she realizes that she was where she was supposed to be and her every step was ordered.
