I have this setup as LFE with my KEF LSX Speakers in my study. Provides tight, controlled bass and integrates well. Time will tell on reliability concerns with some of the KEF entry level devices, but so far so good and a good price for NZ!

Compact subwoofer to pair with desktop speakers, in my case I have paired this with my Ruark Audio MR1's and have set the crossover frequency to 90hz and it seems to integrate nicely. They don't extend down much beyond 40hz, but that is OK as I use them for music only. They are a closed design which is ideal for music.
The other compact subwoofer for sale in NZ are the Klipsch Reference R-8SW, they are 8", and weights much less (6.3kg vs 11.3kg), so probably the driver is inferior.
I am not sure about long term reliability, as the previous generation KEF subs are known to use cheap control boards and power supplies. So time will tell.
