Beautiful, strong, 16-year-old Keysha Kendall has lived with her emotionally abusive mother all her life. Having grown up without a father, she finds her world thrown into chaos when she is forced suddenly to move in with him rather than being placed in foster care. Suddenly Keysha's street-smart sass and ghetto-girl attitude become a big problem in the blakc middle-class suburbs where her father and his family live. She quickly finds herself feeling like an outsider and unsure if living with her father is where she really belongs.
