A year after the release of Kvitravn, Wardruna are presenting Kvitravn – First Flight of the White Raven.
This new release captures their special set list consisting of songs from Kvitravn and a selection of favourites from the discography.
Wardruna is a Norwegian musical project based on Nordic spiritualism and the runes of the Elder Futhark. It was started by Einar “Kvitrafn” Selvik in 2003, along with Gaahl and Lindy Fay Hella.
Wardruna make significant use of traditional instruments including deer-hide frame drums, Kraviklyra, tagelharpe, mouth harp, goat horn and lur. Non-traditional instruments and other sources of sound like trees, rocks, water and torches are also used.
