Description

This thesis estabishes a chronlogy of tree-ring dates from the Paris basin from sites of all periods. This is followed by more detailed period based discussion highlighting problem areas and looking closely at the most important sites. Bernard then discusses changes in the extent of forestation in the area and some of the ways in which it was managed and used from the Neolithic to the early medieval period.
