The publication contains the proceedings of the study day that took place at Civita di Bagnoregio (Viterbo) on May 19 th, 2012. Through various disciplinary approaches (historical, archaeological and ceramologic), the book reconstructs the phenomenon of clay manufacturing in the seventeenth century, a century rich in data and documentary materials. The importance of pottery in everyday life offers the opportunity to investigate little-known aspects such as fashions or as the presence of artisans in big fairs.
