This is a teaching book. It could be used by parents, grandparents, big sisters, big brothers, aunts, uncles and teachers. Landon is my grandson. He was asking for a puppy. He comes home after visting his cousin, Brooklyn, who had just gotten a new puppy and tells his mom he wants a puppy. Landon's mom explains to him that she must talk to his dad about getting a puppy and she will talk to Landon more about this tomorrow. The next day Landon asked his mom if she had spoken to his dad about getting the puppy. She told him they had discussed it and believed they'd come up with a solution - a way to prove that he could be responsible for a puppy. They are going to give him a household chore for one month. If he can handle that chore without interruption or distraction, then he may have his puppy. This made Landon very happy. However, Landon is challenged by some of his other family members that want him to go on a camping trip with them for a weekend. Will he go camping or will he get his puppy?
