Description

Rap and Write Tutoring Books 1 and 2 guide students into letter formation and letter sounds. Rap and Write Tutoring Book 3 directs students into beginning and advanced story writing. Writing steps are presented for beginners. Beginners learn "how-to" put words on paper for others to read and quickly progress to advanced writing. Advanced learners are surrounded by word charts. They participate in brainstorming and questioning activities to stimulate story ideas. Lessons are scripted for the teacher. Writing encourages repetition of familiar words that students read and spell with fluency.

Author Biography:

Ruth Martin received her Master of Arts in Education from California State University at San Bernardino. She was a K-3 teacher for 25 years. Ruth taught education extension courses at University of California at Riverside for ten years and specialized in writing in the early grades.
