Alexander Wilson was an ornithologist, weaver and a poet, who is known as the Father of American Ornithology. This is a collection of his poems.

Author Biography:

Alexander Wilson was born in Paisley in 1766. He worked as a weaver, before being arrested for his satirical poetry about Paisley's mill owners. After his release from prison, he emmigrated to America, where he worked as a teacher and wrote a book on American ornithology (all nine volumes of it). The last volume of this book was published in 1814, a year after Wilson's death.
