Description

Brazenly satirical yet deeply human, "Little Miss Sunshine" centres around the dysfunctional Hoover family whose road-trip from Albuquerque to California to allow their 'ugly-duckling' daughter to follow her dream of entering the Little Miss Sunshine beauty pageant results not only in comic mayhem but in death, transformation, and a moving look at the surprising rewards of being losers in a winning-obsessed culture. This superb companion to the runaway hit of the 2006 Sundance Film Festival includes the complete shooting script, an introduction by writer Michael Arndt, scene notes on his experience making the film, and a humorous essay "How to Write a Sundance Hit in Nine Easy Steps", as well as a 12-page colour insert of photographs from the film and production, and full cast and crew credits.
