The impetus for writing this book began as a cathartic exercise helping me to understand the transitions taking place in my life. For many years I disregarded my truth, the real me. I ignored it. I ran from it. I turned my back on it. When I finally faced my truth and listened to the messages coming from within, I began to change. Doing so required more courage than anything I ever had dealt with before in my life. I had to face decisions that opened the possibility of people in my life perceiving my actions negatively. However, I knew in my heart of hearts I had to leave what I knew as home to come home. Much of who I was had to die in order for me to live. Today, my life is filled with more passion for everything. My world has opened to wonders always there, yet not seen by me in the past. I see my entire life differently than before and, as a result, I have more balance and success in everything I do.
