Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
A card shark and his unwillingly-enlisted friends need to make a lot of cash quick after losing a sketchy poker match. To do this they decide to pull a heist on a small-time gang who happen to be operating out of the flat next door.
Critic Reviews:
- " A n inverse cost-to-quality ratio seems to have been operating in “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,” Guy Ritchie's debut feature about four cocky young men coming up against major thugs in London's East End. " – Joe Morgenstern (Wall Street Journal)
- " Once you sort out the main characters and the plot kicks into action, it becomes clear that under the shameless MTV pyrotechnics lies a structure as intricately crafted as a Feydeau farce. Guy Ritchie has a giddy gift for storytelling. " – David Ansen (Newsweek)
- " Entertaining because of its intricate plot, kinetic editing and imaginative camera angles. " – Robert Roten (Laramie Movie Scope)
