Whether you're a seasoned professional chef or a first-timer playing in the pantry and spice rack, Mary Berry's Love to Cook is a ‘MUST HAVE’ (and more so than having Nigella in your kitchen). You can do without Nigella but you really simply can not do without Mary Berry. Her iconic cookbook is simple and easy to follow, it uses ingredients we have here in NZ or you can substitute, and speaking of substitutions; if you want to (for example) use a vegetarian dish for a non-vego, then add the pancetta! Mary's recipes lend themselves to being shzooshzed-up. Personally speaking, I've had the book for two weeks now and I've used 16 recipes. And for me – that's a pretty darned impressive strike rate!
