Description

The Dorpat (Tartu) prize paper by the 19-year-old Adolf Harnack (1851-1930) with the title "Marcion. Der moderne Glaubige des 2. Jahrhunderts, der erste Reformator" ("Marcion. The Modern Believer of the 2nd Century, the First Reformer") was awarded the Gold Medal by the Theological Faculty in Tartu and recommended for publication. However, it remained unpublished. The manuscript was believed lost, but has now unexpectedly come to light in the Berlin State Library. The text has been transcribed and published in this critical edition for the first time.
