Author Biography:

Alison Beck is one of Canadas bestselling garden writers. She has written or co-authored more than 30 gardening guides, many of which have become bestselling, award-winning guides. They are filled with practical advice and her passion for gardening. A.H. Jackson was born into a family of food producers and experienced the food business from harvest to table. Weather and gardens are intrinsic to food production, and Alan writes on those subjects, drawing on his experience as the owner-operator of a large greenhouse/garden centre. He is the author of The Canadian Food Encyclopedia and three bestselling gardening guides: Square Metre Gardening for Canada, Beginner Gardening for Canada and 1001 Tips for Canadian Gardeners.
