In the 1950's a New Mexico rocket base kid, in the 1960's a fighter jet and combat helicopter pilot, alternative reality surfer in the 1970's, and family man in the 1980's and 90's, James has been a flight instructor, smuggling pilot, disciple to a fundamentalist prophet, editor for an occult publishing company, singer and songwriter, film and stage actor and playwright, host and producer of an Albuquerque public access TV series, bogus high-roller for a megabucks Las Vegas sports book betting team, and other curious callings, all the while writing with several co-authors to produce a body of work of amazing diversity.
