I was born deep in the Eastern Kentucky mountains. I am the youngest ofeleven. My youth was plagued with poverty. There were not that many choices whenit came to our meals. So growing up, I experimented with whatever I hadavailable. My mother always told me that she looked forward to seeing whatflavorful recipe I would come up with next.
