There is an illustrated A–Z catalogue of more than 185 vehicles, including famous makes such as Austin, and Rover and Scammell from the UK; Willys, Dodge, and GMC from the USA; GAZ and ZiL from the Soviet Union; and manufacturers from around the world, including NEKAF, Tatra, Rába, Timoney, Beijing Jeep, Mitsubishi and DAF. Specification panels detail the country of origin, type, manufacturer, production dates, powerplant, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical system, dimensions, weight and performance of each vehicle. Over 530 photographs illustrate each type, including commissioned work and many rare and unseen images.

Author Biography:

Pat Ware has been involved with military vehicles for nearly half a century. He was the founding editor of Classic Military Vehicle magazine in 2001 and is also military editor for Land Rover Enthusiast magazine. He is a knowledgeable commentator at the War & Peace Show at Beltring in Kent, England, each year. As the author of more than 20 books on military vehicles, Pat Ware is recognized worldwide as a leading historian on this subject area.
