Description

Why do similarly talented people engaged in the same activities have such different results? Circumstance and genetics explain only part of the difference. And they struggle to describe rapid transformation when a person moves from one level of performance to another within equivalent activities. Mindset Positioning fills that explanation gap. To do so it draws extensively from cognitive and social science, case narratives, and nearly a decade of applied research and direct observation. Hunsaker and Klippel present the positioning cycle's value in a way that is not only richly descriptive, but readily accessible. From Fortune 500 executives to government officials, academics to community leaders, elite athletes to successful entrepreneurs (and thousands of backgrounds in between) Mindset Positioning has had a positive impact on diverse segments of society, globally.

Author Biography:

B. Tom Hunsaker, PhD is on the faculty of the Thunderbird School of Global Management (a top-ranked global business school and unit of Arizona State University) and the Academic Director of Applied Learning. His work in behavioral strategy has been recommended reading in leading universities, applied by thousands of managers and executives, is published in renowned outlets like Harvard Business Review and other scholarly journals, and has been featured in popular press globally. He regularly advises Fortune 500 firms and public and private sector leadership teams. Tom is also a noted speaker who has addressed audiences large and small on four continents. This book is the culmination of nearly a decade of applied research. He lives with his wife and children in the sunshine of Arizona where they enjoy the outdoors together as much as possible. Brandon L. Klippel has been a partner or executive in two Fortune 500 firms. At the time of his invitation he was among the fastest to achieve partner status. He was a top performer every year thereafter. Brandon has worked as an Academic Training Leader and Business Coach for industry leading firms on three different occasions - training over 500 professionals in the process (testing and applying many of this book's themes along the way). He knows how to get exceptional results and teach others to do the same - doing so successfully in the public, private, and community sectors. Energetic, relevant, and results oriented, Brandon is a sought-after business coach and public speaker dedicated to connecting with a variety of audiences. He and his wife are the parents of six boys and reside in the beautiful Sonoran Desert of Arizona.
