Does as advertised by allowing Bluetooth connections via USB port. It has a thankfully dim led light that is not noticeable enough to annoy. Bought for my ps4 controller to connect to my PC. Works perfectly in that way. However it ships with a mini disc with some weird old software on it. Throw this away as it crashed my entire computer (bit scary but everything was OK) and the dongle works perfect without any software. Overall satisfied with it and happy it was so cheap. A smaller cheaper alternative to Sony's branded dongle
