MiniQ Miniature Cube Fujin & Raijin
Are you always having the worst luck with the weather? Maybe you need to add these beautifully created traditional Japanese gods of weather to your collection. These gods, Raijin (god of thunder, lightning and storms) and Fujin (god of wind), have been represented in paintings and sculptures since the Asuka period in Japan. Raijin is seen surrounded by drums whilst he holds hammers with three fingers. This is said to represent the past, present and future. He is the most feared of all Japanese deities, with parents often telling their children to cover their navels during a storm or risk having their tummies eaten! Fujin is seen holding a bag of winds with four fingers, one for each direction, and he can be the creator of terrible destruction. Nevertheless it is also said that at times he protects Japan, as in 1274 when Mongol invaders were devastated by prevailing winds.
These models are beautifully colored and the perfect palm size for decorating your home. Make the sun shine and order these two weather gods today! Made from PVC.
