Description

Idora Morrison withdraws to her rented basement apartment, and for four days and nights she faces the demons of memory and disappointed ambition that have haunted her twenty-five years as a Caribbean immigrant in Toronto. Through the help of friends, memories, her faith and music, Idora finds her way back towards the light, revealing a courage that is poetic, biblical and unforgettable. More is a powerful indictment of racial discrimination and the urban poverty trap, out of which Austin Clarke's insistent musical voice reaches majestically beyond oppression.
