In today's modern era, families come in many different forms. As a result, we may find ourselves having difficult or awkward conversations with our children. For me that challenge came when it was time to sit down with my 3 year old son and explain that his siblings may not be present at his birthday party. I found myself avoiding the conversation until it couldn't be avoided any longer. So I reached out to my network of mentors, family and friends for ideas on how to have this difficult conversation and out of those talks we created the concept for the blended families' book. This book is intended to be a tool that parents can use when explaining the concept of blended families and why all members of the family may not live or be together at all times.
