I could not put this book down because I did not want to miss anything.
Sandra Brown Lindstedt covers topics such as racism, puberty, war,
and family. She seamlessly infused many genres into one book and
created a story with relatable and interesting characters. All of
them were memorable. From Sandy's family members to her
friends and the townsfolk, each was described in detail and had a
personality that held my attention. This story will linger in my
memory for a long time. Sandy was a wonderful protagonist with a
dark sense of humor and great instincts. Her internal monologue
was hilarious, and I was rooting for her the entire time.
