Description

In 1964 I moved from Glasgow to London to work in the advertising agency business as a trainee executive. Three years later, I became involved in the production of TV and radio commercials and the young lady who typed the scripts, suggested that I should try to write poetry. This was a big challenge for me as art was my best subject, but with persistence and effort I tried. My book of poetry is presented in a different form to the usual format. Each poem is preceded with text to give the reader an insight to what inspired my composition. The book is an eclectic mix of people poems, poems about London, love poems and a number of poems relating to the island of Mykonos in Greece. There I met a local man whose down-to-earth philosophy encouraged me to write poems of a philosophical nature. You be the judge of my compositions!
