Michele Olmsted Archer was born in Los Angeles, kid number four in a family of six. Growing up, she studied violin, has worked as a symphony musician, performed for many weddings and events along with teaching a number of children and adults how to also play the violin. In the process of doing this, Archer managed to see New York City from the top of the World Trade Center, hitch-hike cross country, climb the El Capitan mountain range in New Mexico, and have a sword fight with a real witch. Archer is rarely bored. She turned to writing after her boys were born. For her oldest son, she wrote a story called, Danny Doc Dilly and the Dangerous Duck. With her youngest boy in mind, she also wrote a novel called The Calling of Mike Malone, both published by MuseItUp publishing of Canada. Archer has a third novel, Specter, also published by them. She currently lives in south Florida, the kids live near and she has a talking parrot who insists he is a "good bird."
