Author Biography

Silvana Franco is an inspirational and innovative food writer and stylist with over a decade's experience working in the food media. She has made numerous TV appearances, including acting as guest chef on BBC2's Saturday Kitchen and UKTV's Good Food Live and Good Food Bites. She co-starred in The Best for BBC2, which was accompanied by a hugely successful book of the series and her success led to two 15-part series for GMTV on Christmas cooking and summer cooking. In autumn 2004 she joined ITV's flagship magazine programme This Morning, co-presenting a regular feature called One Stop Food. She has also completed a new series, The Hi-Lo Club, for 2005 transmission on UKTV. She is the author of a number of cookery books, including The Really Useful Vegetarian Student Cookbook and The Student Cookbook, Can't Cook Won't Cook Leaves Home, Pizza, Pasta, Family, and most recently The Hi-Lo Club to accompany her TV series.
