Description

The 74th edition of the New Zealand Cricket Almanack, and the 39th under the current editors, finds the Black Caps on top of the world after an unparalleled year in cricket.   Despite the pandemic New Zealand Cricket delivered a full season of international domestic cricket. The BLACK CAPS hosted Pakistan, West Indies, Australia and Bangladesh before heading off to England where they defeated the home side in a two-match test series and were victorious in the historic World Test Championship final against India. the WHITE FERNS toured Australia and then had homes series against Australia and then had home series against Australia and England.   Domestic cricket features the Dream11 Super Smash Twenty20 competition, which included men's and women's double-headers, the Plunket Shield, the Ford Trophy and the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, There is also coverage of the Hawke Cup and age-group cricket.   As usual, all the cricket is backed up by a detailed records section and a fascinating collection of the season's happenings.
