Author Biography

Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) was a twentieth-century American painter known for his illustrations of everyday life. He created his most famous images for the Saturday Evening Post magazine, including Rosie the Riveter, Saying Grace, and the Four Freedoms series. The Norman Rockwell Museum holds more than 574 original paintings and drawings by the artist; it is located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where Rockwell spent the last twenty-five years of his life. Kees Moerbeek is a world-renowned paper engineer whose works include the Neiman-Marcus Pop-up Books, Aesop's Fables pop-up, and Raggedy Ann and Andy pop-up. The Met presents over 5,000 years of art from every corner of the world. Founded in 1870, The Metropolitan Museum of Art is located in New York City's Central Park along Fifth Avenue.
