The Book tracks the founding fathers of this town and their families from Europe to the colonies to Loudon in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. It traces the town's history, through it's people from its inception and formation in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, through the French and Indian and Revolutionary Wars to a new nation. It describes the area's part in Shays Rebellion which sparked the writing of our Constitution through the 1800 and 1900's to the 21st century. All of this is based around those families that wrote the towns history and are buried in Norton Cemetery. This offers a chance to combine political and social histories offering a unique historical perspective. The history itself highlights several trends that our contrary to contemporary historical outlooks.
