The growth in the scientific literature on nutrition and the penetration of nutrition research into the disciplines of medicine, biochemistry, economics, sociology and the various applied fields, such as public health, food technology and government services, have created a need for this book. This work connects the technical language among disciplines related to nutrition with one another and with less technical language. Nearly all items have cross-references which facilitate the integration of basic science information to health and disease.
