Description

This anthology is journey of emotions. While odyssey of words is work of art it is not just collection of poetry, it is a distinctive art and emotion of individual writer. This is our contribution to the blossoming contemporary poetry. We wanted to create an environment in which poetry would thrive, uninhibited and uncensored, where it would be taken seriously. Drawing on our experience of writing we were clear from the start what this poetry book is going to be about. Essentially, we are listening to one another as poets and being heard in a society which has not been known for its receptivity to the work of poets in any sphere. Poetry should move us, make us something more than we were before we read it. But what about the relationship's poets have with their own words? Where do these poems come from and how do they exist as tangible beings once written? Stories in poetry are revealed to us through relationships with people and events, and those stories are made possible through memory. Every poet, like every reader, has a specific memory that makes an event or person from the past special. This collection of poems from offers a glimpse into the world of storytelling through memory. With the ability to transform, crucify, surrender, burden, oppress, and sometimes idolize, the poets in this collection take an event that happened to one or more important people in their lives and transform it through memory into a tangible piece of reality to keep the readers.
