This season pushes Nina, Billie and the Proudman family into new and uncharted territory, with all the chaos, fun and romance that audiences have come to love.
With things between her and Harry moving quickly, Nina is thrown head first into a world of difficult decisions, as she navigates the beginning of a new relationship with the complexities of parenting Zoe. Nina and Harry’s relationship will be tested when Harry’s family turns out to give the Proudmans a run for their money in terms of boisterous interference and Nina’s fears of letting her daughter love Harry will be pulled into sharp focus.
While Nina is tentatively embarking on a serious relationship with Harry, she simultaneously attempts to manage her escalating responsibilities at work, filling in as Acting Head of Obstetrics while Martin Clegg and Cherie are away working in a remote rural area. When an old mentor re-ignites Nina’s passion for research, Nina will be forced to ask whether it is possible to pursue her career ambitions while raising a family. Can she really have it all?
Billie is focused on being guardian to teenager Brody and her newborn baby. But as the difficulty of her long-distance marriage to Mick becomes impossible to ignore, Billie will have to make major decisions about her romantic future.
Jimmy and Zara’s marriage hits a crisis point as they both struggle to rebuild trust after Zara’s infidelity. Confusion, anger and parenthood will either bring them back together or drive them apart.
And serial planner Will and commitment-phobic Kerry must face their own demons if their new relationship is to go the distance.
