Ole Blue is a blue 1953 Ford F-100 pickup truck, who tells the story of his life from the time he was put together on the assembly line. Since he was brand new, Ole Blue has had many different owners. There was Mr. Grumpy, a rancher from Florida; Mr Moody, a pig farmer; and, Bill, who liked to buy old pickup trucks. Life has been the best for Ole Blue since Grandma became his owner. Along with Sport, Grandma's nine-year-old grandson, and Ditto, the cat, the four of them go for a fun adventure with some of their other Car Club friends. The journey takes them along the western coast of Florida and over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on the way to a car show.
Mary Spivey has had many good times over the years with Ole Blue, her late son's 1953 blue Ford F-100 pickup truck. Mary's grandson, Sport, and her faithful old kitty, Ditto, love spending time with Ole Blue. Many of Mary's friends also own antique cars and trucks, and writing this first picture book about one of those adventures has been a labor of love.
