Description

Chip Crandle has been given something special for his 60th birthday. A final chance to make a difference. It's a gift he didn't ask for, in a form he never expected; neighbors who richly deserve to die but have evaded justice. Now that the gift has been unwrapped, all he has to do is decide; what's the right thing to do? And no matter the decision, how would it all end? Chip knows what he'd like to believe, but is it really faith, or just a wish? Walking in the pristine forest of North Idaho, lurking in the gloom-stink of an unthinkable crime scene, keeping up appearances as an average white-haired guy, driving across the enormity of the Great Plains in a 1984 El Camino, while wearing an ancient buckskin shirt... Chip Crandle finds the magic it takes to be sure.

Author Biography:

Tim Martin lives in the Monarch Mountains outside Sandpoint, Idaho -about an hour's drive from Washington, or Montana, or Canada, and a long way from the Iowa farm where he grew up. Tim relates well to dogs and cats, fly-fishermen, cold beer, hot coffee, dead spots in cell coverage, and people who care enough to listen after they ask a question. On Death and Flying was inspired by real-life friends who adopted two abused children. Tim continues to have a deep-seated belief that life is unexplainable magic and everything works pretty well when you don't try too hard. He is at work on his next novel.
