Based on a remarkable series of taped discussions with some of the top Broadway dancers of the 70's, many of whom went on to play the characters based on themselves, the much-loved musical went on to win numerous awards and accolades - including a Tony Award and a Pulitzer Prize. "On the Line" is a collective oral history of the historic show - the 19 original cast members reveal how they got involved with the project, how they laboured through months of intensive workshops and rehearsals, and what its success has meant for their lives and careers.

Robert Viagas is founder of the theatrical news service Playbill On-Line. Baayorak Lee has directed more than 35 productions of A Chorus Line all over the world. Thommie Walsh is an internationally renowned director and choreographer.
