This story is about a little boy that feels unwanted, like a Nothing, and has no friends. He stumbles onto a Something that needs a friend. He helps her and becomes her friend, but after a while she becomes stronger and returns to her home. The Nothing has been changed however by the friendship and feels better about himself. He decides to be a friend to himself and to find another friend too. One day he comes across a Someone who is lonely and wandering alone. They become friends and one day they come across another person who is all alone and sad and they befriend her too. This is a story of hope and courage and true friendship! It is a roadmap to how to make friends and feel better about yourself by helping others.

Author Biography:

Annie Penland was born May 8, 1951 in Camden, Arkansas but grew up and still resides a few miles outside Houston, Texas. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, foster mom, teacher, rescuer of abused animals and life-long artist. Annie believes that "LIFE IS ART". She combines her love of Art, and her love of Books and Children to be a children's book author and illustrator. She fills her house with children's books, children's movies, Art of all kinds and the sounds of barking dogs and children's laughter.
