‘Oracular Spectacular’ is the debut album by MGMT which came on the scene in 2008.

This album is inspiring. It sort of feels like a flashback to the late 1960's, but with a modern twist. The whole album is great.

Stand out tracks: Time to Pretend Weekend Wars Electric Feel Kids Of Moons, Birds & Monsters

This is the album from MGMT that has their well known songs. I highly recommend.

On its 2008 major label debut, ORACULAR SPECTACULAR, the Brooklyn-based duo MGMT (aka Management) offers up a willfully quirky set that incorporates elements of both electro-pop and freak-folk. Consisting of singer/multi-instrumentalists Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden, the playful act veers from the decadent, fuzzed-out "Time to Pretend" to the jangly, glam-tinged "Weekend Wars" to the funky, Ween-ish "Electric Feel," with renowned producer Dave Fridmann keeping everything from going too far off course, particularly on the catchy, synth-driven "Kids." The result is a restless and inventive first album that's guaranteed to garner hipster adoration, and, like fellow Big Apple-ites LCD Soundsystem, may also carry a wider appeal.
