Compared to other memory foam pillows or mattress covers, these pillows were more firm than expected and definitely don't leave an impression like in the pictures. They won't go flat anytime soon, but they also don't compress as much as I would like. I think they'd be good for people who sleep on their back, but not for people who sleep on their side
