Description

Book 4 is the full-length, follow-up novel to Book 2, and continues Chriselle's and Sheldon's love story. Sheldon After months of hiding their covert relationship and avoiding Chrissy's husband, Chrissy and Sheldon are eager to reveal their love to their families and the world. Sheldon is more than ready for Chrissy to be his queen, and his forever. But with a single unexpected phone call in the night, Sheldon is torn from his future and dragged back to his past. Back to the unfinished business of his marriage to his ex-wife, Eugenia. Sheldon's old baggage-his son's anger and resentment, his inattentiveness his first time around as a husband, and possibly even his remaining love for Eugenia-falls right into his and Chrissy's lap. Now he's left to wonder if he and Chrissy are as ready for commitment as they thought. Chrissy Though Blake is no longer around to torture Chrissy, his schemes still interfere in her life. Despite all the noise from him and Sheldon, she is reconnecting with her dreams and seeking out her inner peace. As she takes on divorce, motherhood and starting over, she questions if she should go it alone. Chrissy's hot tears slid down her cheeks as she stared at him now. "If you sleep with her, don't come back." Can Chrissy and Sheldon survive? Return to the hotbed of luxury, romance, and rivalry in the Black Hamptons. In this medium-heat romance, follow childhood friends and thirty-somethings Chrissy, Maddy, and Adella as they tackle love and heartache on their rise. These books can be read in any order but are most delicious in sequence.

Author Biography:

Lula was born and raised in a small community that's sandwiched between Sweet Home, Arkansas, and Granite Mountain. She was a grandma's girl. Instead of yachts and limousines she writes about in her books, she watched her grandpa fend off snakes on fishing trips, shelled peas during soap operas, ate popsicles at Vacation Bible School, went on barefoot bike rides, and snuck into the illicit world of Danielle Steele books she had no business reading. Hers and her grandmother's shared passion for books, magazines and movies opened up worlds beyond her front yard. And what a journey it's been. Both coasts have been her home. She's traveled, hobnobbed, crisscrossed careers, and advocated for the indigent parents of Los Angeles as a former public interest lawyer in Southern California. With her pen and imagination, she celebrates Black accomplishment from every angle, and the brilliance of all blackness, in every space. We are never too old, too young, or too tired to dream.
