First, as another review has already pointed out, a quarter or so of the tube at the bottom contains no dice, just a raised cardboard platform to make it seem like you're getting more than you are. Secondly, the variety of different dice in these is significantly lower than I expected. More than half of the dice I got (from three of these tubes) are standard D6 with pips, in only 4 or 5 different colours, and the most plain, white ones being in a few sizes. There are a few regular dice with different numbers of faces (D4, D8, D10, D12, D20, and D6 with numbers instead of pips), each of which comes in only one colour and size. The actually interesting dice similarly are multiples of identical dice – this is a particular disappointment on the dice with letters on the faces – all have the same six letters (C, D, O, P, Q, R), in the same arrangement rather than a selection with different letters. With only one vowel and a ‘Q’ with no matching ‘U’, the usefulness of these seems quite limited. There are also some poker dice, and two sizes of d6 with coloured dots on the faces – the small ones have one set of colours and the large ones a different set – they don't match. I got these on a steep discount in the stocktake sale, so at that price they're fine, but if you're looking for an actually varied an interesting set of dice that you could use for coming up with your own games, I don't think these are worth the full price.
