Recent events have given international prominence to structural fire engineering -- notably Broadgate, the World Trade Center collapse and the Windsor Tower, Madrid fire -- as well as the enlightening studies at the Cardington project. As a result, structural fire engineering has attracted the increasingly interest not only of fire engineers and structural engineers but also of researchers and students. And studies in the past five or so years have generated a vast number of findings.
