Description

One of music's most enigmatic talents, Roger "Syd" Barrett burned briefly and brightly leaving an indelible mark upon psychedelic and progressive rock as the founder and original singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist of Pink Floyd.

However due to erratic and bizarre behaviour, which made him too difficult to work with, he left and/or was fired from the group in 1968.

After a period of hibernation Barrett re-emerged in 1970 with a couple of albums. With increasing psychological problems, Barrett withdrew into near-total reclusion after these albums. He never released any more material, and these days rarely appears in public, let alone to play music.
