This is high grade cocaine for a B Movie junkie. There is a huge nod to early years John Carpenter in this movie and given that the man gave us Escape From New York and The Thing in that period this is high praise. The great cast includes an uber-cool Bruce Willis, testicle collecting Naveen (Lost) Andrews, total milf Marley Shelton, the always excellent Josh Brolin and a smoking hot Rose McGowan sporting the coolest prosthetic limb ever. This movie is the ultimate b movie done well. The action and effects are fantastic and there is a surprise around ever corner. Planet Terror is funny, gory, sexy, outrageously over the top and the absolute best time I have had in front of the tv in months. If you aren't a Rose McGowan fan before you see this, you will be by the time the end credits roll. You'll laugh, you'll cheer, you'll drool and you'll love every second of this blood soaked rollercoaster of a flick. This is what Blu-ray is for.
