Author Biography:
Erica is the founder of Inspire Balance Coaching. She has over fifteen years of experience coaching and teaching parents, teens, and young adults. Her work has been featured in San Diego Family magazine, The Balanced Mom magazine, and EPIC Conscious Living magazine. Power Up Your Parenting is her first book. Karin, who prefers to go by her Korean name Shinhae, lives in San Diego, California. Kang is currently a junior at Canyon Crest Academy and participates in an after school art program called Envision Visual Arts Conservatory. Kang started drawing at a very young age and continues to pursue different disciplines of art at school and in her free time. Kang was never good at expressing herself with words but through art, she found that she was able to share her emotions and ideas with ease. At the time of publication, Kang aspires to graduate from Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in illustration and work as a full time artist in the future. As Vice President for The Electronic Bookshelf for 5 years, Colleen Ster taught and conducted training sessions to librarians and teachers around the country. Time and again, moving on to be Marketing Director for Scholastic Reading Counts! for 3 years in the New York City office, educators continued to tell Ster that they were seeking books to assist children to help them navigate through difficult life situations. From years of product development and input from librarians and teachers over a 15 year period, Ster created a book series called "Kids Helping Kids Through Books" as a resource for parents and children to access when they are going through a difficult life situation.
