Needed the extra length for my beside adapter. Can't go wrong with this brand.
UPDATE: Just over a year of use, the wire had overheated and melted. Thankfully I was there when it had started and quickly unplugged the cable from my phone and adapter. I should note, my Apple cable has outrun this one and I've never had an them burn up, almost catch fire.
Relatively cheap for an MFI cable, and the reversible USB is a fantastic idea. Quality build and well designed :-)
