Author Biography:

The author is an associate professor of physical education and sport studies at Loras College in Dubuque, IA, where he also coordinates the sport management program. Previously, he was the women’s basketball coach at Blackburn College, where he remains the school’s all-time leader in winning percentage and where he guided the first team in school history to the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III National Tournament. He currently coaches T-ball and he and his wife Cheryl reside in Dubuque with their three children Joseph, Michael and Rachel.
