Author Biography:

ric Huang was born in New Jersey. He never fit in with other kids, not until his father transferred to the West Coast. It was in the LA smogshine that Eric bloomed. As he became Californian, he traded a Joisey accent for a Valley Girl twang. He learned to swim and surf. And when he left Los Angeles to attend college in the Bay Area, he came out as a gay boy. Ever since he was incredibly young, Eric has always loved legends and lore. His interest in the hidden histories found in fossils lead to a degree in paleontology. Eric wanted to dig for dinosaurs, but the realities of field work did not live up to his Jurassic Park dreams. So, he moved back home to his parents' place and decided to get into the film business. He gave guided tram tours at Universal Studios. He read film scripts for agents. He was a personal assistant for highly strung Hollywood types until he finally got his big break. A temporary agency placed Eric as a secretary to the Creative Director of Disney Publishing. Eric did not land a film job at Disney Studios, but his career in book publishing began. In 2001, after six years at Disney, Eric moved to Melbourne to be an editor at Penguin Australia on a 9-month working holiday visa. Six years and two jobs later, he moved to the UK, where he eventually became one of the children's publishers at Penguin in London. Eric now consults for book publishers and children's media companies. He is a lecturer at City, University of London's Publishing Master's Program - and he is the creator and host of Saint Podcast, a podcast that explores legends of the saints through queer and feminist stories, art history, and pop culture. Eric lives in London with his boyfriend Brian and pet cat McNulty. Diego Blanco is a Spanish illustrator who picked up his first paintbrush at the age of 5. He graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in Valencia, Spain and complemented his studies with a Master's Degree in Illustration. Diego describes himself as a multidisciplinary artist who, beyond his work as an illustrator, works on projects in photography, self-publishing, ceramics, and engraving. His illustrations are composed of synthetic shapes, characters in funny situations, bright colors and hidden details that may go unnoticed at first glance. Among his clients are: Shopify, Reader's Digest, Virginia Tech, The Foundry, MetroValencia, Universal Music Spain, and Florida Universitaria.
